Ahoy, I’m Sophie! (she/her)

I’m a queer 26-year-old cartoonist and writer. I’m originally from Brooklyn but grew up in Connecticut, I tend to write stories about ordinary people thrust into supernatural situations, and I love using weird, colorful fantasy elements to explore deeper, darker concepts of identity, atonement, friendship, and, admittedly very often, pirates.

My favorite stories are often surreal and horror-influenced, yet still accessible, funny, brightly-colored, and positive-minded. Outside of my art I’m passionate about alternative music of all genres, play Pokemon VGC competitively, and bow to the whims of my elderly cat Trixie.
